Two shouts in two days for RNLI Jersey

Two shouts in two days for RNLI Jersey.

The first shout came in at 2:20pm Sunday 13th June for the St Helier inshore lifeboat. The crew were tasked to a person in the water on the south coast. The ILB made way to the casualty vessel which was at anchor. Fortunately the casualties were able to self recover and when the ILB arrived on scene all persons were safe and accounted for.

The second shout was just after 2pm Monday afternoon for the St Catherine’s ILB. The crew were tasked to a separated diver from a broken down boat off Anne Port. Fortunately one of our crew members, Josh (who is a skipper for Jersey Seafaris), was in the area and, after hearing the call for help from Jersey Coastguard, went to help on the Seafaris boat which was full of customers. Josh was able to find the diver after a quick search and brought him onboard.

The ILB crew arrived on scene shortly after and once they had established everyone was safe and well, the vessel was towed back to Anne Port.
