Details

A 10M Vessel struck Des Ormes Buoy early on the 13th December 2015 causing damage and water ingress. A nearby vessel stood by and put a crew member on board to help with bailing water.

Meanwhile the Coastguard was informed and the St Helier ALB was launched to assist. The ALB arrived on scene at 08:53 and a RNLI crew member was put on board the casualty vessel with a water pump to help keep the vessel afloat.

A tow was established and the vessel was towed back to St Helier and then was lifted out of the water for repairs.
