St Catherine's inshore lifeboat was launched Thursday afternoon following a report of an overdue swimmer on the east coast. 

Shortly after launch, Coastguard stood the crew down from that shout after the swimmer was located, but diverted the crew to assist another boat which was without power and drifting off the north east of St Catherine's Breakwater.

The Lifeboat took the casualty back in tow to St Catherine's before returning to station to be readied for her next service.
