1st joint service between RNLI Jersey and The Jersey Lifeboat Association

The St Helier inshore lifeboat was tasked to be first responder to Jersey's first ever joint service between RNLI Jersey and The Jersey Lifeboat Association, with both services co-ordinating to rescue a French sailor with a suspected hip fracture on a yacht to the north east of the NE Minquiers Buoy.

The inshore lifeboat was first on scene and undertook a casualty assessment and stabilisation and then transferred him by stretcher to the JLA's all weather vessel for onward transport back to St Helier.

The inshore lifeboat then returned to St Helier where she was refueled and prepared for her next service.
