Lloyd Banks

I joined the RNLI as I'd always had a close link with the sea and enjoy being part of a excellent team. My most memorable shout was in 2000 when we were called out to assist a sailing vessel which had lost its rudder just north of Les Écrehous in gale force winds. I went on board the casualty vessel and dealt with a severely sea sick and hyperthermic male, we took the casualty to Carteret due to the tide and wind conditions, myself and my 2 colleagues received a letter of thanks from the institution.
