I joined to follow in the footsteps of my dad who joined not long after I was born so I have grown up around the station so it was only a matter of time! My most memorable shout, was getting called out after my girlfriend and I had just finished moving into our first flat at 10pm for a sighting of a flare off the north coast and a possible missing boat, we ended up doing several search legs from Les Écrehous all the way out to Bank des Ormes off Gronez in pretty nasty, rough conditions. It was the first time I had worked with a helicopter as well which was pretty exciting. We returned to station and recovered the boat just before 2am, it was the hardest and most tiring shout I’ve experienced so far.
