Wishing Paul Boissier a Happy Retirement

RNLI Jersey want to wish our outgoing Chief Executive, (Vice Admiral) Paul Boissier and his wife, a very happy retirement as he leaves us next month after ten fruitful years. Take a look at the link below, if you want to see what he’s been up to during his tenure!

Paul’s successor is one, Mark Dowie who has wide ranging experience and is presently the LOM (Lifeboat Operations Manager) at Salcombe RNLI, responsible for all the operational requirements of that busy lifeboat station. This gives him first-hand experience of leading and volunteering within the Institution.

Mark, a former Royal Naval Lieutenant, served on the helicopter carrier RFA Reliant and HMS Illustrious. In addition he has owned and managed a successful marine services company before accepting the role of Chief Executive Officer, Corporate & Institutional Banking, at Standard Chartered Bank. There, he was responsible for nearly 20,000 people in 62 countries around the world.

He is a former Justice of the Peace, Trustee of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity as well as Vice Chairman and Trustee of the Britannia Association. Mark is married with three adult children, a keen sailor, gyrocopter pilot and history buff.

Something tells us this will be quite a voyage! We wish him much success.
