This year marks the 10th anniversary that RNLI lifeguards have patrolled Jerseys shores.
Since 2011, Jersey RNLI lifeguards have aided 3,014 people, responded to 2,553 incidents, and carried out 412,664 preventative actions, as well as saving the lives of 16 people.
In 2021 the lifeguards have reached their goal for the whole team to be made up of locals. This means they can provide a service that is sustainable and each of them have a fantastic knowledge of Jersey’s beaches.
