Andy's Double Round Jersey

A huge congratulations to Andy Truscott who swam round Jersey twice in 22 hours 7 minutes! What an amazing achievement - Andy has also set a new world record!

So far Andy has raised an incredible £400 for RNLI Jersey. You can see his story and donate on his Just Giving page here.

"I am attempting to be the first person in the world to swim a double round the Island of Jersey without stopping in one go.

I am doing this for myself and also to raise funds for the RNLI as the RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteer lifeboat  crews rescue an average of 24 people every day and RNLI lifeguards  provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. The RNLI is independent from Government and relies on donations from people like you.

The RNLI is a charity close to my heart.  As a keen open water user it is good to know that the volunteers of the lifeboat will come to assist.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity."
