St Helier ILB assists 4 people trapped on Elizabeth Castle

No of People on Board:

Whilst the St Helier crew were preparing the inshore lifeboat for the next launch after exercising this morning, they were tasked by Jersey Coastguard to help four people who had got trapped by the tide on Elizabeth Castle.

The crew swiftly made their way round to the north west side of the castle where they were able to ensure everyone was safe and well.

Once life jackets were fitted, the lifeboat crew got the people on board the Atlantic 85 lifeboat and transferred them safely back to shore.

If you find yourself in trouble or you see anyone in trouble call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
