St Helier ALB and ILB launched to assist grounding vessels

The crew were paged at 02:29 on Tuesday 17th August 2015 as a vessel inside Portlet Bay had drifted off their mooring onto ground.

While at the station a second call was received of a vessel in Belcroute on ground and listing heavily.

The St Helier ALB and the St Helier ILB were both launched to assist, with the ILB being diverted to Belcroute. The crew of the vessel were transferred onto the ALB and were taken to St Helier. The vessel was then towed in by the ALB.

The ILB assisted the casualty vessel in Belcroute where it eventually re-floated on the rising tide with no damage
