The management team brings together experienced volunteers from both stations.
I spent much of my youth around boats and wanted to give something back to the Island - the RNLI seemed like a great fit. Being part of the RNLI has given me the opportunity to challenge myself, to learn new skills and to contribute to our island community at the same time. I joined the St Catherine's crew in 2007 and have crewed the inshore lifeboat ever since. I took on the role of Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer in 2009, which means that I am responsible for media engagements and overseeing the RNLI Jersey media team. I also assist with school visits for St Catherine's. RNLI Jersey is a family of diverse individuals from totally different backgrounds who come together for a single purpose, namely saving lives at sea - it is amazing to be be part of that!
